Note from Karen:
Much has happened over the last year or so, Vince and I have moved to a beautiful log home in Bailey, NC., resulting in my now having a much larger quilting studio.  With that said, I'm thrilled to let you all know that I have added longarm workshops and I'm currently teaching them privately, in shops, and at national venues.

I am currently working on developing a retreat space for up to 6 quilters.  I hope you will stay tuned-in for the "Open Now" announcement.  I am very excited about this opportunity and will be posting pictures of the accommodations.

Quilting continues to be something I am very passionate about.  I love designing, creating, quilting and especially sharing those loves with others.  I'm thrilled to have these new opportunities for teaching and I look forward to all the new friends I'll make along the way.

Karen's second book, "Prairie Point Pizzazz" is finally available.  The response to her innovative technique that makes making prairie points look easy has got the quilting community buzzing.  Check out her video demonstration to see just how simple it is to incorporate prairie points in ANY half square triangle.  I am confident you will be amazed!  Karen offers a variety of workshops that utilize this unique technique (Flutterbyes In My Garden; Peek-a-Boo; Color, Color All Around; Bears Paw with Claws).

Karen's first book, "Better Together", released February 2010, has been both and education and a blessing for her.  Encouraged by the response from the quilting community, Karen designed a trunk show called, "If These Quilts Could Talk".  In this trunk show Karen shares humorous insights, tips, tricks and stories that tug at the heart strings.
